Original: Robert Saleh on nonchalant Cam Ward pass: 'Would've liked to see him use his legs' https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7647
49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh said he would have liked to see Titans quarterback Cam Ward use his legs rather than deliver what he described as a nonchalant pass. The comments came after a play in which Ward appeared to force a throw instead of scrambling. The remark has drawn attention as observers debate whether the criticism was fair or a shot at the rookie's decision-making.
Why now: Saleh's public criticism of a young quarterback's play decision is sparking debate among NFL fans and analysts.
