BSW moves to drop founder Sahra Wagenknecht's name
Original: bsw partei
Germany's BSW party, founded by Sahra Wagenknecht, is reportedly moving to remove its founder's name from its branding. The Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht has been weighing the change as the party seeks to establish an identity beyond its charismatic leader. Commenters are debating whether the rebrand signals a genuine institutionalisation of the party or a strategic shift ahead of upcoming elections.
Why now: The party founded in Sahra Wagenknecht's name is taking steps to detach its brand from its founder, a notable development for a young German party.
