Iceland minister hits back at Netanyahu over UN 'coward' remark

Original: Iceland minister's extraordinary reply to Netanyahu for 'coward' jibe at UN | Janta Ka Reporter

Iceland's minister has issued a pointed public rebuke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after he branded the United Nations 'cowardly'. The Icelandic response, framed as a defence of the UN and multilateral diplomacy, has drawn wide attention online and is being shared widely as the exchange between the two governments escalates.

Why now: A rare direct clash between a small Nordic state's minister and Israel's prime minister over the UN is resonating amid ongoing tensions over Gaza and UN criticism of Israel.
