John Wilson Turns to Concrete in New Documentary
Original: John Wilson's revenge against Hollywood? A documentary about concrete https://www.npr.org/2026/09/30/nx-s1-5961507/john-
Filmmaker John Wilson, best known for his offbeat HBO series 'How To with John Wilson', has a new documentary about concrete, framed by NPR as his 'revenge against Hollywood'. The project marks a return to his characteristic style of finding unexpected depth in mundane subjects after his Hollywood entanglements. Details of the film's premise and release are still emerging.
Why now: The unusual subject of a concrete documentary from a beloved idiosyncratic filmmaker is drawing curiosity.
