Months after a protest over Pride Night, the San Francisco Giants have declined to commit to wearing Pride-themed hats again. The team, long known for pioneering Pride celebrations in Major League Baseball, is facing scrutiny from fans and LGBT advocates who see the hesitation as a retreat, while others welcome the pullback amid wider controversy over teams' Pride promotions.

Why now: It reflects the ongoing backlash and corporate caution around Pride events in sports following recent protests.
