UNR launches animal science program to keep students in-state
The University of Nevada, Reno has launched a new animal science program aimed at keeping students in Nevada rather than losing them to out-of-state universities. The program gives students interested in animal science, veterinary pathways and related agricultural fields a reason to pursue their studies within the state.
Why now: The new program addresses the long-standing issue of Nevada students leaving the state for degrees not previously offered at UNR.
