Hegseth touts military leadership shake-up in troop address
Original: Hegseth touts his shake-up of military leadership in address to troops
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth addressed American troops, defending his sweeping changes to senior military leadership. The remarks follow a series of dismissals and reassignments of top officers under his tenure at the Pentagon, moves that have drawn both support and criticism over the politicisation of the armed forces.
Why now: Hegseth's public defense of his leadership changes is reigniting debate over his management of the Pentagon.
