Original: TWRA Announces Official Naming of Bill Dance Lake and Herb Parsons Wildlife Refuge
The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has announced the official naming of Bill Dance Lake and the Herb Parsons Wildlife Refuge. The designations honor two well-known figures in Tennessee's outdoor heritage: Bill Dance, the famed bass fisherman and television personality, and Herb Parsons, the celebrated exhibition shooter and marksman. The move formally recognizes their contributions to conservation and outdoor recreation in the state.
Why now: The agency has just made the naming official, and both names carry deep recognition among Tennessee's hunting and fishing communities.
