Russia threatens nuclear response if NATO isolates Kaliningrad
Original: Russia threatens to use nuclear weapons if NATO isolates Kaliningrad and the Alliance responds: "Enough with the threats"
Russia has warned it could use nuclear weapons if NATO moves to isolate Kaliningrad, its exclave on the Baltic Sea surrounded by EU and NATO members. The alliance dismissed the warning outright, replying "enough with the threats" and signalling it will not be deterred by Moscow's nuclear rhetoric over the strategically important territory.
Why now: Rising NATO-Russia tensions and nuclear saber-rattling over the Kaliningrad exclave
