Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth joined US troops for an early morning physical training session, telling them 'We want to hear from you.' The remark, published by the US Department of War, frames the visit as an effort to solicit feedback directly from service members. The department has not released details of what troops said or how their input will be used.
Why now: The defense secretary's direct outreach to rank-and-file troops signals leadership attention to morale and feedback within the military.
