State Department site's chatbot keeps saying 'play Minecraft'
Original: America.gov goes crazy on "play Minecraft"
America.gov, the US government's public-facing site, has launched a chat feature at america.gov/chat, and users report that it keeps pushing the suggestion to play Minecraft in its replies. A discussion on Hacker News is drawing attention to the odd responses, with readers amused and puzzled that an official government communications channel would repeatedly steer visitors toward a video game.
Why now: People find it surprising and funny that an official US government website's chat tool keeps recommending a video game.
