South Korea Space Agency Chief Vows Restructuring Over 'Ambiguous Design'
Original: South Korea's Space Agency Chief Oh Tae-seok Says Organization Was "Ambiguously Designed," Vows Restructuring
Oh Tae-seok, head of South Korea's space agency, said the organization was "ambiguously designed" and pledged to push through restructuring. He argued that unclear mandates and overlapping responsibilities have hampered the agency's effectiveness as the country seeks to advance its space ambitions, and promised reforms to clarify roles and improve operations.
Why now: South Korea is ramping up its space program, so leadership criticism of the agency's structure draws attention.
