Ukraine Offers Allies Partnership in Intercepting Russian Jet Drones
Ukraine is offering its allies a partnership to jointly intercept Russian jet-powered drones. The proposal would let partner countries work alongside Ukrainian forces in shooting down the long-range attack drones that Russia has been using against Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. The move highlights Kyiv's push to expand air-defence cooperation with Western partners and share expertise gained from years of resisting Russian aerial attacks.
Why now: Russia's increasing use of jet-powered drones is pushing Ukraine to seek deeper air-defence cooperation with its allies.
