Ukraine says it downed 254 of 285 Russian drones
Original: ADF neutralize 254 of 285 Russian drones launched at Ukraine during the day
Ukraine's Armed Forces report that air defences neutralized 254 of 285 drones launched by Russia against Ukraine in a single day, one of the larger aerial attacks of the war. Officials highlighted the high interception rate, though the remaining drones and any missile strikes caused concern about damage to infrastructure. The figures come amid continuing heavy Russian drone and missile barrages on Ukrainian cities.
Why now: The sheer scale of the overnight drone attack and the high interception rate highlight the intensity of Russia's ongoing air campaign against Ukraine.
