Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham says he is 'really concerned' about the prospect of Manchester City's owners, Sheikh Mansour's Abu Dhabi-based group, selling the club following alleged breaches of Premier League financial rules. His comments add political weight to the debate over the club's future and the potential economic impact on the city if its owners walk away.
Why now: Ongoing Premier League charges against Manchester City have raised uncertainty about the club's ownership and future.
