Katz calls flydubai incident thwarted jihadist terror attack
Original: Katz says flydubai incident was ‘jihadist terrorist attack attempt thwarted by brave Israelis’
Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz said an incident aboard a flydubai aircraft was a 'jihadist terrorist attack attempt thwarted by brave Israelis.' He credited passengers with preventing the attack, characterizing the event as terrorism rather than an accident or security breach. Details about what occurred on the flight and any arrests have not been fully confirmed, and flydubai has not publicly responded to the claim.
Why now: A senior minister publicly framing a mid-flight incident as a thwarted jihadist attack has drawn immediate attention amid heightened regional security tensions.
