Original: キラちゃん

Toba Aquarium in Mie Prefecture has suspended its sea otter exhibits after the otter Kira showed signs of poor health. The aquarium, which also cares for a second otter named Mei, announced the measure to let the animal rest and recover. Visitors and local media have been following updates on Kira's condition closely.

Why now: Sea otters are a popular attraction at Toba Aquarium, so fans are concerned about Kira's health and the suspension of displays.
