LIV Golf's attempted relaunch has collapsed after its new lead investor withdrew, according to reports circulating online. The Saudi-backed league, known for luring top golfers away from the PGA Tour with large payouts, is described as once free-spending but now facing financial uncertainty. In South Australia, critics are using the news to attack Premier Peter Malinauskas, accusing his government of destroying Adelaide parklands to host LIV Golf events.
Why now: News that LIV Golf's relaunch collapsed gives South Australian critics fresh ammunition against the premier over parkland use.
