Users nostalgic for the internet's Time Cube era
Original: Ever yearn for a time when the craziest thing on the internet was Timecube? # TimeCube # crazy # internet
A question circulating among internet users asks whether others miss the days when Time Cube, Gene Ray's famously incoherent personal website from the late 1990s, counted as the wildest thing online. The sentiment reflects growing nostalgia for an earlier web era, with people contrasting Time Cube's harmless eccentricity against the more extreme and consequential conspiracy content that spreads online today.
Why now: The comparison to today's online conspiracy content is striking a chord with people nostalgic for the older, more benign internet.
