JD Vance Distances Himself From Trump's Iran War

Original: 🟠 UPDATE Trump Emphasizes Iran War Importance Post-Midterms US Vice President JD Vance distanced himself from President

US Vice President JD Vance has publicly distanced himself from President Donald Trump's war on Iran, questioning its cost and attributing Republican midterm losses to the conflict, which left Democrats in control of both chambers of Congress. Trump, meanwhile, continues to emphasize the importance of the Iran war following the midterms, setting up a visible split within the administration over the conflict's political and financial price.

Why now: A rare public split between the President and Vice President over an ongoing war has major implications for US politics after the midterm results.
