Adolfo Suárez back in Spanish conversation

Original: adolfo suarez

Adolfo Suárez, Spain's first democratically elected prime minister after the Franco era, is being mentioned again following remarks by Miriam González, founder and candidate of Democracia21 for the 29-N elections. Recalling her youth, González said the day Suárez resigned left her in tears, describing him as her idol. Her comments have put the late statesman back in the spotlight.

Why now: Miriam González's emotional recollection of Suárez's resignation resurfaced in coverage of her election campaign.
