Democrats Win Majority in Congress at Midterms
Original: Democrats Capture Congress Majority
Democrats have captured a majority in Congress in the US midterm elections, according to early results and reaction shared online. The outcome delivers a blow to President Trump and the Republicans, who faced a verdict on their control of both chambers. Observers say the result will sharply limit the administration's legislative agenda and set up confrontations over spending and oversight.
Why now: Midterm results have just come in, shifting control of Congress and the balance of power in Washington.
