1X Unveils Disembodied Neo Head as Smart Home Hub
Original: Your Humanoid Robot Might Also Be Your Smart Home Hub: Disembodied Neo Head From 1X
Robotics company 1X has shown off a disembodied version of its Neo humanoid robot — just the head unit — positioned as a smart home hub. The idea is that the same device controlling your home could also serve as the face and voice of a humanoid assistant, blurring the line between home automation hardware and domestic robotics.
Why now: 1X is promoting a new concept that repositions its humanoid robot head as a smart home controller.
