Original: Dawarich — a privacy-focused and open-source alternative to Google Timeline location history Dawarich is a self-hostable

Dawarich, an open-source, privacy-focused web app, is drawing attention as a self-hostable replacement for Google Timeline, Google's location history feature. Users can track and visualise their own location data on servers they control rather than relying on Google. Tech communities are sharing the project as interest grows in moving personal location data away from big-tech platforms.

Why now: Rising privacy concerns about Google's location tracking are driving interest in open-source, self-hosted alternatives.
