FlyDubai first officer accused of planning attack on captain

Original: ドバイ

UAE prosecutors say a FlyDubai first officer plotted to attack his captain, reportedly planning a self-destructive assault influenced by the September 11 attacks. A flight bound for Tel Aviv sent an emergency signal and changed course mid-flight, prompting Israeli air force jets to scramble briefly. Officials described the episode as a violent incident between the two pilots aboard.

Why now: A mid-flight emergency on an Israel-bound Dubai flight, with prosecutors alleging a foiled attack plot, is drawing wide attention.
