NASA's Swift space telescope set to crash back to Earth

Original: NASA's Swift space telescope predicted to crash back to Earth tomorrow

NASA's Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory, a space telescope that has studied gamma-ray bursts since 2004, is expected to reenter Earth's atmosphere, with the crash predicted for tomorrow. The uncontrolled reentry of the satellite is drawing attention, with observers tracking where debris might land and reflecting on the telescope's two decades of astronomy discoveries.

Why now: The imminent uncontrolled reentry of a well-known NASA space telescope is happening now and its landing point is uncertain.
