AI video curator launches, inspired by Karpathy's HackerTube
Original: Own Your HackerTube,an AI Curator Inspired by Karpathy's HackerTube
A new project called Own Your HackerTube has launched, offering an AI-powered video curator modeled on Andrej Karpathy's HackerTube concept. The tool lets users run their own version of the AI curator, which selects and recommends videos tailored to individual interests. Early reaction has been modest but curious, with commenters noting the appeal of self-hosting a personalized curation tool rather than relying on platform algorithms.
Why now: Interest in Karpathy's AI experiments has prompted developers to build open, self-hosted spinoffs.
