The Yaroslavl Refinery has been affected in what is described as the fifth consecutive night of attacks on Russian oil infrastructure following a pause. Earlier targets reportedly included the Novokuibyshevsky refinery in the Samara region on October 30 and a refinery in Ufa on October 31. The strikes appear part of a sustained campaign against Russian refining capacity.
Why now: A sustained series of strikes on Russian refineries is intensifying, with a major facility in Yaroslavl reported hit overnight.
