Original: After news Singapore wants to drop its race, Malaysia looks like it is gone too... http:// motorsport.com/f1/news/malays
Malaysia will not extend its Formula 1 Grand Prix deal, a government minister has said, following news that Singapore also wants to drop its race. The prospect of losing both Southeast Asian rounds has prompted reaction among motorsport fans and commentators, questioning what the exits mean for Formula 1's footprint in the region.
Why now: Both Singapore and Malaysia could leave the F1 calendar, removing the sport's Southeast Asian presence.
