Original: ontario student assistance program
Students in Guelph are preparing to join a provincewide walkout in Ontario protesting changes and cuts to the Ontario Student Assistance Program. The demonstration is part of broader student action across the province against reduced financial support for post-secondary education. Organisers say the walkout is meant to pressure the provincial government to restore funding and improve access to student aid.
Why now: A coordinated provincewide student walkout over OSAP cuts is drawing attention across Ontario.
