Germany's Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture announced that the Cannabis Consumption Science Responsibility Ordinance enables the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) to take on tasks connected to cannabis. The decree, tied to the country's partial legalisation of cannabis, assigns scientific and regulatory responsibilities to the BLE, drawing attention from observers following how Germany is implementing its new cannabis framework.
Why now: Germany's ongoing rollout of cannabis legalisation keeps regulatory details about the BLE's new responsibilities in public discussion.
