Kobe Harborland's Mosaic mall to close for renovation

Original: アンパンマンミュージアム

Kobe City has announced that the Mosaic shopping complex in Harborland will close from February next year due to aging facilities, with a full-scale renovation expected to take several years. The closure has drawn attention in Japan partly because the popular Anpanman Children's Museum is located in the same Harborland area, raising questions from families about how access and the surrounding area will be affected.

Why now: The announced closure of the landmark Mosaic mall is drawing attention because of its impact on the popular Harborland area, home to the Anpanman museum.
