Conservative columnist criticises Coalition's climate approach
Original: Conservatives like me embrace conservation. Why the Coalition’s chainsaw approach to climate? | Andrew McLachlan
Andrew McLachlan, writing as a self-described conservative, argues that conservation should be a natural conservative value and questions why the Coalition takes what he calls a 'chainsaw approach' to climate policy. His piece challenges the party to reconcile traditional conservative principles of stewardship with its current stance on climate action.
Why now: Ongoing debate within conservative ranks over the Coalition's climate and energy policy direction
