F1 fans plan Lance Stroll Driver of the Day vote takeover

Original: driver of the day

Formula 1 fans are organizing online to flood the Driver of the Day vote in favor of Lance Stroll at the Mexican Grand Prix. The coordinated campaign would hand the award to the Aston Martin driver, who is rarely a frontrunner for the fan-voted honor. The stunt has drawn attention as a tongue-in-cheek effort to influence a traditionally genuine fan poll.

Why now: Fans are rallying around a coordinated joke vote to give Lance Stroll an unlikely award at the Mexican Grand Prix.
