Volunteers in Gaza are running a community center supporting students and educators, described by supporters as resisting what they call 'scholasticide' — the destruction of education during the war. Organizers are appealing for recurring weekly or monthly donations, saying the center is a lifeline. A recent appeal reported only 5 of a hoped 300 recurring donors so far, with a deadline of next Sunday to keep it open.

Why now: Supporters are urgently fundraising to keep the center open amid Gaza's education crisis.
