Nine Spanish regions celebrate festive Monday while La Rioja works
Original: comunidades festivo mañana
Monday is a public holiday in nine Spanish autonomous communities, while La Rioja is not observing the festival and will have a working day with no long weekend. People are discussing which regions get the day off and the uneven distribution of holidays across the country, a recurring debate whenever festive calendars differ between communities.
Why now: Spaniards are checking tomorrow's regional holiday calendar, which varies by community and leaves some regions without the day off.
