New Zealand's Twisted Frequency music and arts festival has removed Israeli DJ Dekel Kamiosky, known as DEKEL, from its lineup. Organizers said he was dropped after failing to publicly condemn Israel's occupation and the war in Gaza, and they apologized for having booked him in the first place. The decision has drawn attention amid wider debates over whether artists face political litmus tests to perform, with supporters and critics of such exclusions weighing in online.
