Critics warn no single person should hold Musk's power
Original: # Musk is a perfect demonstration of why no single person should control this much infrastructure, influence and public
Commentators are arguing that Elon Musk's control over major infrastructure, public contracts and communication platforms shows why democracies should not depend on one billionaire's decisions. Critics say public systems should not hinge on whether a single wealthy individual acts generously or vindictively on a given day, and are calling for structural limits on concentrated private power rather than simply hoping for better-behaved owners.
Why now: Musk's vast influence over critical infrastructure and public discourse keeps renewing debate about concentrated billionaire power in democracies.
