Indians search for correct Dhanteras date and auspicious timings
Original: dhanteras
Families across India are checking when Dhanteras falls this year, with reports indicating confusion between 6 and 7 November. Ujjain-based priests and astrologers are being cited to clarify the correct date, the first Pradosh fast, and the shubh muhurat for buying gold, silver and utensils, the traditional purchases made on the festival that marks the start of Diwali celebrations.
Why now: The festival is approaching and uncertainty over the exact date and auspicious buying times is driving searches.
