Prosecutor: no gang links in teen's murder plans

Original: häktning

Swedish prosecutors say there are no gang connections in the case of a teenage boy detained on suspicion of planning murder. The boy has been remanded in custody, and authorities stress the alleged plans appear to be his own rather than tied to organised crime. The case has drawn attention because of the suspect's young age and the seriousness of the charge.

Why now: A teenager being remanded over murder plans is a striking case in Sweden's ongoing debate about youth crime
