Mastodon users brace for wave of US election posts

Original: PSA: If you don't like political stuff, there's probably going to be a lot of it on Mastodon this week since the US vote

As US voters head to the polls on Tuesday, users of the decentralized social network Mastodon are warning each other to expect a surge of political content across the platform. One widely shared message advises anyone hoping to avoid election talk to set up keyword filters via Settings > Filters > Add New, so they can mute political topics in their feed during voting week.

Why now: The US election is imminent and users are preparing for an influx of political posts on their feeds.
