Conservative woman voices frustration over political mockery
Original: I'm tired of being mocked and hated because I'm a conservative woman https:// lemmy.world/post/52533119
A woman who identifies as a conservative says she is tired of being mocked and hated for her political views, sparking discussion about how conservative women are treated in online and everyday political debate. Some responses are sympathetic, arguing nobody should face personal attacks over their beliefs, while others argue that criticism of political positions is fair game and the complaint reflects broader polarization between left and right.
Why now: Ongoing political polarization keeps personal stories about being attacked for one's politics highly relatable and contentious.
