Tom Kim and Brian Campbell penalized after bunker ball mix-up
Original: Tom Kim, Brian Campbell penalized after hitting each other's ball in same bunker
PGA Tour players Tom Kim and Brian Campbell were assessed penalties after hitting each other's golf balls from the same bunker during a tournament round. With both balls resting in the same hazard, each struck the wrong ball, incurring a two-stroke penalty under the rules of golf. The unusual incident drew attention because such identical-ball collisions in bunkers are rare at the professional level.
Why now: A rare double penalty involving two tour pros hitting each other's balls from the same bunker is an unusual and amusing rules incident
