Original: EU diplomats object to G20 photo with Lavrov, prompting US cancellation

EU diplomats objected to a planned group photo with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the G20, leading the United States to cancel its participation in the photo. The dispute highlights continued tensions over Russia's presence at international forums, with Western diplomats unwilling to appear alongside Lavrov. It underscores how the war in Ukraine continues to strain diplomatic rituals even at multilateral summits.
