Halloween trick-or-treating threatened by Pacific storm

Original: trick or treat

A Pineapple Express atmospheric river storm is forecast to reach Southern California, including San Diego County, on Halloween night, threatening to disrupt trick-or-treating events. The term is also trending in Canada and Japan, where people are similarly searching for Halloween plans amid weather and seasonal interest, making the holiday tradition itself the topic of conversation.

Why now: Halloween falls in the coming days and a storm forecast is threatening outdoor celebrations in California, driving searches for trick-or-treating.
