Tailscale sparks nostalgia over university networking struggles
Original: I wish I had Tailscale when I was at university
A Tailscale blog post about using the mesh VPN at university has prompted readers to reflect on how much easier campus networking could have been. Many recall the frustration of accessing lab machines, dorm desktops and shared resources behind restrictive university firewalls, saying a tool like Tailscale would have simplified remote access to their own devices during their student years.
Why now: Readers are reminiscing about difficult university network setups now that simple mesh VPN solutions exist.
