China denies spying allegations targeting Nvidia's CEO
Original: China denies allegations of spy operation targeting Nvidia CEO
China has rejected allegations that it ran a spy operation targeting Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang. The denial, reported by the BBC, comes amid heightened US-China tensions over semiconductors and advanced technology. The claims have not been independently verified, and Beijing says the accusations are baseless.
Why now: US-China tensions over semiconductors make any alleged espionage involving Nvidia's CEO highly newsworthy.
