Spacewalks are far harder than they look
Original: Spacewalks: No walk in the park!
The Canadian Space Agency is highlighting the realities of spacewalks, stressing that working outside a spacecraft is one of the most demanding tasks astronauts face. Such excursions require years of training, bulky pressurised suits and constant safety checks, while astronauts battle extreme temperatures, radiation and the absence of gravity while performing intricate repair and maintenance work on the station's exterior.
Why now: The Canadian Space Agency is running an outreach piece explaining the challenges of spacewalks, drawing attention to astronaut work in orbit.
