Original: EU to impose (additional) €2 fee on all packages entering the bloc as of 1 November https:// lemmy.sdf.org/post/61147469
The European Union will introduce an additional €2 handling fee on all parcels entering the bloc, effective 1 November. The levy would apply to every package crossing into EU territory, adding a flat charge on top of existing customs and postage costs. Online discussion of the move is so far limited to the report itself, with little detail available on its rationale or scope.
Why now: unclear
