Artist Paints Suburban Night Scenes Using Only Primary Colors
Original: I'm into suburban night scenes right now. This is from primary colors only because I need to practice creating neutrals.
An artist is sharing a new series of watercolor paintings of suburban night scenes, created using only primary colors as an exercise in mixing neutral tones. The work highlights how limiting a palette to red, yellow and blue can still capture the muted hues of evening light in residential neighborhoods.
Why now: The painter's color-mixing exercise and night-subject choice are attracting interest from other artists and art watchers.
